What is a Lap Joint Flange used for?
Lap Joint flanges use a titanium stub end (the wetted part) and a cheaper backing ring (like carbon steel). This significantly reduces material costs in large-diameter systems while maintaining titanium's corrosion resistance inside the pipe.
When should I specify RTJ instead of RF?
